What’s the most common print size?
This is a good question. For much of the printing we do, we do any shape or size, within certain limits (5 x 5 to 40.75 x 96 for most media types). So, if a customer has created a file that is, e.g., 8718 x 3585 pixels, and wants it printed with no cropping, we can do that. Of course, if the customer is willing to have some cropping, they can have other sizes, and our system will show them the way their image will get cropped as a result. We see a lot of orders with print sizes that are not “standard” – and maybe your next print order will be one of them!
We ran a small data pull and came up with the following specifications for you:
- 16”x20” is the leading size print that is ordered, with an average of 30,518 orders prints
- 11”x14” came in second with total order average of 16,082 prints
- 20”x30” ranks as the third most popular size ordered, with an average of 13,318 prints
- 18”x24” landed 4th on the list with an average of 10,696 prints
- 24″x36” hit 5th place in the rankings with an average of 8,558 prints
